Andrew von Hirsch

a lawyer and a philosopher; honorary professor of the theory of punishment and penal law at the L. Radzinowicz Institute of Criminology at Cambridge. The founder and director of the Center for Ethics and the Theory of Punishment at Cambridge. His scholarly interests focus on the theory of the penal system and the philosophy of penal law. The author of Doing Justice; Past or Future Crime and Censure and Sanctions, among other publications.
